TAST2- Sword Stitch

This week's TAST2 stitch makes nice little 'ball' flowers, I could imagine dandelion or allium.

Der TAST2 Stich dieser Woche eignet sich gut für kleine Kugelblüten wie Löwenzahn oder Allium.

Stickamazonen Challenge #11, #12, Special

I had a catch-up time for the Stickamazonen Challenge. I had fun playing with the stitch combination #11 and worked kamal kadai, the woven flower - which in my case does not look like a flower - for the first time. An interesting technique.

Ich hatte einiges aufzuholen für die Stickamazonen. Ich habe mit der Aufgabe Nr. 11 ein wenig gespielt und kamal kadai zum ersten Mal ausprobiert. Eine interessante Technik, auch wenn meine Blume nicht unbedingt wie eine Blume aussieht.

TAST2 Sampler

Shirley asked about my TAST2 sampler. I work on small pieces of cloth, different ones, just as I like them or have them at hand and after finishing a piece I sew them to a piece of felt, fold them like a concertina so that the pages form a book and wrap a band around it. That's it. Sometimes I do a page for one stitch, sometimes there are different stitch examples on a page. Here are my pages so far.

Shirley hat nach mein Mustertuch für TAST2 gefragt. Ich arbeite auf kleinen, unterschiedlichen Stoffstücken, gerade so wie es mir gefällt oder wie ich sie zur Hand habe. Nachdem ein Stück fertig ist, nähe ich es auf ein Filzteil, falte das Filzteil wie eine Ziehharmonika, so daß sich ein Buch ergibt und binde ein Band darum. Fertig. Manchmal mache ich eine ganze Seite zu einem Stich, manchmal umfaßt eine Seite auch mehrer Stich-Proben. Hier sind meine bisherigen Seiten.

TAST2 - Buttonhole Herringbone

It is a great pleasure to learn a new stitch every week. This one is easy to do and very effective. I like the curves this stitch forms.

Es ist wirklich eine Freude, jede Woche einen neuen Stich zu lernen. Dieser ist einfach zu arbeiten und sehr wirkungsvoll. Ich mag die gebogte Linie, die dieser Stich formt.
