I started this piece several months ago and never knew how to proceed.

Now I made some progress.

Instead of Cretan Stitch ...

... the only Beaded Journal Page I did for the BJP project in 2011, finished up. Here it is without edging.

I have finished my Cretan stitching but unfortunately I do not have a camera at hand so that I cannot take a photo. I keep my fingers crossed and hope that I will get at least one of my two cameras back till the weekend.

I am in the beading mood ...

In 2011 I will take part in the Bead Journal Project. I have followed the BJP for three years now but never been courageous enough to take part. This year I will just do it.

I decided for a theme : LEAVES. This cloth will be my inspiration for the January page.

In 2011 nehme ich am Bead Journal Project teil. Das BJP habe ich nun seit drei Jahren verfolgt aber nie den Mut gefunden mitzumachen. In diesem Jahr werde ich es einfach tun.

Ich habe mich für ein Thema entschieden: BLÄTTER. Dieser Stoff ist meine Inspiration für den Januar-Beitrag.

UFO finished ...

Today I finished this little Crazy Quilt. Here are the blocks which I did some time ago. I am not really satisfied with them but decided to leave them as they are, documenting what I was able to do at the time I worked them.

Heute habe ich diesen kleinen Crazy Quilt fertiggestellt. Hier sind die Blocks, die ich vor einiger Zeit gemacht habe. Ich bin nicht wirklich zufrieden damit, habe mich aber entschlossen, sie so zu lassen wie sie sind, gewissermaßen als Dokument dessen, was ich seiner Zeit zu tun in der Lage war.

I covered the seams with a few beads and put some lace around the blocks.

Die Nähte habe ich mit einigen Perlen versehen und Spitze um die Blocks genäht.

The fun part: beaded feather stitch.

Der Spaß-Part: Federstich mit Perlen.

Couching and Beads

The couching sampler I did a time ago was calling for beads, I think. Now I like it better.

Mein Probestück in Anlegetechnik rief nach Perlen, fand ich. Nur gefällt mit die Arbeit besser.
