A richly embellished mandala I did a long time ago. I was inspired by Frances Holliday Alford who had a contribution in "Quilting Arts Magazine", Issue 30.

Ein reich verziertes Mandala, das ich vor langer Zeit gemacht habe. Inspiriert wurde ich von Frances Holliday Alford, die einen Beitrag im "Quilting Arts Magazine", Issue 30, hatte.

First, I clipped (cut) the labels from the clothing and than I clipped (basted) them to the postcard.

Just a few fancy yarns and a few beads tied to a cord.
Nur ein paar schöne Garne und einige Perlen an ein Stückchen Kordel gebunden.

ODD

While I was working at my felt pins I realized that I am more interested in beading the edges than doing the centre pieces. Therefore I decided to do an edge-only piece. I just could not stop adding to the edges. The button was a last minute idea.

Während der Arbeit an meinen Filzbroschen habe ich festgestellt, daß ich mehr daran interessiert bin, die Ränder mit Perlen zu verzieren als das eigentliche Mittelteil zu gestalten. Deshalb habe ich mich zu einem Nur-Rand-Teil entschieden. Ich konnte mit der Randgestaltung einfach nicht aufhören und habe immer noch etwas ergänzt. In letzter Minute habe ich dann doch noch einen Knopf hinzugefügt.

Track of time. Rust-dyed fabric, lace with rusty spots on the backside, cracked, broken and deformed buttons, dorset buttons that have seen better times, and a few stitches.

Spuren, die die Zeit hinterlassen hat. Mit Rost gefärbter Stoff, Spitze mit Rostflecken auf der Rückseite, Knöpfe, an denen die Zeit genagt hat und einige Stiche.

I have taken Susan Sorrell's online class "Funky Felt Pin". When I was looking for a motif the Creative Cue came in handy.

Ich mache gerade Susan Sorrells Online-Kurs "Funky Felt Pin". Auf der Suche nach eine Motiv, das ich verwenden könnte, kam das Stichwort "Absatz" gerade recht.

... Sonnenaufgang. Das Element Luft, leicht und hell, luftig halt. Ich habe einfach einige luftige Materialien zusammengesucht und meine erste textile Postkarte gemacht. Bei Terry Stegmiller von Three Creative Studios gibt es jeden Sonntag ein kreatives Stichwort
