This is the last task of the Stickamazonen challenge.
Die letzte Aufgabe für die Stickamazonen Challenge.
This is the task for the Stickamazonen Challenge that I created.
I am not satisfied with the result of my stitching for Stickamazonen Challange but glad that I tried this stitch. I call my sample 'Flowers, Hills, and Waves'.

This stitch (Palestrina Stitch or Basque Knot) is much easier to do than I thought, although my stitches are not even. I am glad that I tried it. For the second row a name poped into my mind while I was working on it: bonsai trees. Next I tried something crazy what might not be a usual CQ seam treatment. But I had fun with it and could even add some beads.
I redid the chain stitch, spiny. It is not yet perfect but at least better than my first version. And just to show that I learned this stitch - thanks to Barbara - I add the beginning of a new seam treatment.
I am not satisfied with my stitching but there are more challenge tasks and more opportunities for practicing to come. I was not sure what 'chain stitch - spiny' really meant, so I tried twisted chain stitch - with moderate success.
I decided to do the easier version, straight stitch with French knots instead of knotted diamond stitch. And some beads for the flower centers. I just love beads!
Stickamazonen has a challenge of stitch combinations for crazy quilts. I thing it is a good idea to collect some stitch variations for refenrence.
